This book has been all over Bookstagram for as long as I can remember. The story revolves around Chloe Brown, 20-year-old surviving fibromyalgia while trying to live her life. Chloe writes a list of items she would like to reclaim her life from the chronic pain and powerful drugs she consumes. And though falling in love with her highly handsome apartment superintendent might not have been on her list, it quickly becomes a top priority.

The novel was fast-paced and had all the ingredients of a romance: meet-cute, irresistible hero, sympathetic heroine, and a happily-ever-after ending. I loved the author’s accurate representation of life with chronic pain and how she seamlessly worked that into Chloe’s life without making her seem pitiful. Chloe’s love interest had a story of his own, and I am glad it followed a plausible ending. The only thing I found hard to relate to/believe was the character’ attraction for each other. I prefer novels where, as a reader, I can witness meet-cute, interact, and fall into love or lust. In the case of this novel, the author told us from chapter 1 that the characters had a burning attraction for each other, which made it harder to believe and, therefore, reduced the reading experience’s joy.

Overall, it was a good read, and I would recommend it to others!
